Traditional Henna OR "Party Henna"?

We now have two different options for Henna designs:
We can offer Traditional Henna/Mehndi, using natural plant-based henna pastes,
OR our new Party Henna option, using skin-safe body ink markers.
The differences between the two are as follows:
Traditional henna is a paste applied with cone or squeeze bottle. It requires a minimum of a half hour to dry sufficiently, at which time the dried paste begins to crackle and drop off the skin. Touching the paste before it dries will cause smearing of the design, resulting in an unsatisfactory stain. Initially, it leaves a light orange stain on the surface of the skin, which often darkens to a beautiful reddish-brown hue over the next 24 hours. This skin stain may last for up to 2 - 3 weeks, depending on the strength of the henna paste, the skin type, location, and care of the tattoo site. It will eventually fade and disappear as the skin naturally sheds the epidermis. |

Party Henna is a temporary tattoo created with skin-safe body ink markers, such as our favorite, "BodyMark" by Bic. These designs dry within 60 - 90 seconds, and the inks can last up to 3 - 5 days. Party Henna is a good alternative to Traditional henna, because they dry so quickly, and are virtually waterproof. Customers may resume normal activity immediately, without concern about smudging or transferring. |
